I had been photographing flowers in our front yard when this grasshopper landed on my left arm. I photographed the grasshopper using my right hand and kept as still as possible!
The background pattern I drew and then played with in Photoshop.
There is more detail visible on the grasshopper in the picture than what I could see when it was crawling on my arm.
I played with both the color and saturation of the grasshopper and experimented with different background to come up with a series of Hopper images
